Description
De Gournay's imaginary landscape may have surrounded an important stately home around the end of the 18th century. It was created by elements from two beautiful English gardens. Capability Brown's design at Stowe and Henry Hoare's design at Stourhead. The mural places the viewer on an island in a lake in the middle of the degrees with views in all directions. Architectural follies and recently discovered exotic plants such as Japanese maples surround the viewer.
